Master Dao-Yi (Yu Hsi):

The Thousand People Mountain Pilgrimage is an annual event. Every year, we believe that as long as we pay our respect to Bodhisattva and finish the mountain pilgrimage with devout hearts, the Bounty Guanyin will bring us whole-year peace, happiness, and prosperity. I hereby thank for all the pious believers for coming and for the power of blessing from the Bounty Guanyin.

It's been 52 years since the establishment of Vandana Monastery. Our founding father, the great old master Chuang-Ching was passionate about arts and Chan practice. Therefore, we are organizing this grand memorial event to fulfill the old master's unfinished wills. Compared to all previous sessions, this year we are dedicated to exploring deeper into art and aesthetics.  See related article
